This morning, board the exclusive charter flight across the Arctic Circle to Longyearbyen, Svalbard — one of the world's northernmost towns, where mining heritage, polar science and daily life coexist. Time permitting, explore the town centre before transferring to the pier to embark Seaventure. We set sail into Svalbard waters in the evening: the Arctic voyage begins. Breakfast; dinner on board.

A dedicated charter flight crosses the Arctic Circle to Longyearbyen. Group transfer to the pier and embarkation aboard Seaventure; the ship sails into Svalbard waters in the evening. Charter flight timings to be confirmed by March 2027.
Exploring Svalbard — Expedition Days
Svalbard Archipelago
Over the coming days Seaventure circumnavigates Svalbard, opening the Arctic world in full. Each day's route and activities are set by the Captain and expedition team from live weather, sea, ice and wildlife conditions — by Zodiac cruise, opportunistic landing and shipboard observation. No landing is promised; what is promised is the Arctic at its truest and most changeable. All meals on board.
Northwest Spitsbergen National Park · Ny-Alesund and China's Yellow River Station
Svalbard's signature region, where glaciers, fjords, wildlife and exploration history overlap. Ny-Alesund is one of the world's northernmost permanent research settlements, home to China's Yellow River Station and once Amundsen's base for his polar flights. Kongsfjorden and Krossfjorden run deep inland with glaciers calving straight into the sea, and Smeerenburg on Amsterdam Island preserves a 17th-century whaling station.
West Spitsbergen Fjords · Bellsund
More open and varied than the northwest. Bellsund's interlaced glaciers, mountains and tundra are home to reindeer and rich birdlife.
North and Northeast High-Latitude Waters · Hinlopen Strait and Alkefjellet
Raw, open and uncertain. Hinlopen Strait is a polar ecological corridor between Spitsbergen and Nordaustlandet; at Alkefjellet, tens of thousands of guillemots nest on sheer basalt cliffs best seen from a Zodiac.
The Southeast Wilderness · Barentsoya and Edgeoya
Svalbard's least-visited quarter. Barentsoya's rolling tundra and bare rock draw reindeer and seabirds; Edgeoya, the archipelago's third-largest island, is explored by coastline cruising and is prime polar bear country.
The Southern Fjords · Hornsund and Gashamna
South Spitsbergen National Park's deep-cut fjords and glacier systems. Hornsund's towering peaks and calving fronts run far inland, and historic Gashamna recalls the early whalers and explorers.
The Ice Edge · Highest Latitude of the Voyage
The voyage's highest-latitude experience. Where floes gather into continuous ice bands, the ship slows along the pack edge, watching for seals and the tracks of polar bears.

Return to Longyearbyen port early this morning and disembark (approx. 8am). Transfer to the airport for the exclusive charter flight to Copenhagen, Denmark. On arrival, check in to your hotel in the Danish capital. Breakfast.

A full day exploring the Danish capital. Begin with the Little Mermaid on the Langelinie promenade, then walk the painted merchant houses lining the Nyhavn waterfront. Visit Christiansborg Palace, seat of the Danish parliament, and Amalienborg Palace, home of the royal family. Continue to City Hall Square at the heart of the city. The day closes at the historic Carlsberg Brewery, with time for shopping before dinner. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
The Little Mermaid and Nyhavn Waterfront
Begin at the Little Mermaid on the Langelinie promenade, Copenhagen's best-known landmark, then walk the row of painted 17th-century merchant houses lining the Nyhavn canal.
Christiansborg Palace and Amalienborg Palace
Visit Christiansborg Palace, seat of the Danish parliament, and Amalienborg Palace, home of the royal family, then continue to City Hall Square at the heart of the city.
Carlsberg Brewery and Shopping Time
The day closes at the historic Carlsberg Brewery, with time for shopping before dinner.
